Friday night is fish and chip night and as my son and daughter in law, (who are living with us while they are building a house) were staying in they joined us, with my son opting for spare ribs instead of fish. My OH always gets a portion of fish for Molly and now we have little Ludo, he gets his own tiny portion too so the dogs are very highly charged by the time OH returns from the chip shop. Friday night tradition dictates that we slob out and eat from a tray in the lounge. Molly is very patient and takes herself off (with her dribble!) until we have finished but Ludo has yet to learn the niceties and rules of a Friday night fish supper.
We were just halfway through the meal when he couldn't contain his excitement any longer (he does love his food). He belted across the floor as fast as his tiny legs could carry him and launched himself on to my son's tray sending the tray, plate, spare ribs and chips flying up in the air and across the room. It was just the funniest sight ever (I have a warped sense of humour) but the look of sheer horror on my son's face told me it would be wise to decamp to the kitchen before collapsing with laughter. I am now, at my computer, sharing this story with you whilst I pluck up the courage to re-join the family. My spies tell me that Ludo has now been cuddled and forgiven so I think the coast is clear.

At least Ludo has an excuse! If we shut our 2 out of the room when we're eating they make a right racket, they love to sit and dribble given the chance and will eat every mouthful with their eyes!
It might encourage your son to get the house built quicker!

lol that is so funny, it reminds me when ebony did a simular thing but to strangers, we were walking down to the beach passing a couple sitting in a shelter with a tray of fish and chips on their lap, as we walked past she calmy turned her head, grabbed the fish of their tray and swallowed it was one smooth movement and none of us had any idea it would happen there was no pulling on the lead nothing, we were horrified, we were dog walking typically had no money on us, hoping there would be some left in the car so we could buy a relpacement meal, but the couple were so nice, they just fell about laughing and actually blamed themselves for not being observent and would not hear of us getting them a replacement meal, in the end we were all laughing, but it could have gone so wrong we were just so lucky they were lovely people, after that I was more cautious of walking past anyone eating fish and chips! Oh I would love to have seen both little Ludo and Ebony
Not sure I would have made as far as the kitchen before the hysterics started.
